I've spent my 20 year career in Washington DC, mainly working for associations (IFT, Grocery Manufacturers Assn and United/ International Fresh Produce Assn). My degrees are in food science/ food safety and although I've worked with most major bacterial pathogens, I didn't want to stay in the lab. I work closely with the industry, but as a liaison to the government, consumer groups, and others.
